But what are digital twins and how can they help the oil and gas industry reduce its environmental impact?

Digital twins are virtual replicas of physical assets captured with a combination of laser scanning and photogrammetry. They enable engineers to view their operational assets remotely, no matter where it is located. By using digital twins, oil and gas companies use it for decommissioning, project management and assets replacement in an efficient manner.
